How is the JEE Advanced 2024 Result Prepared

JEE Advanced 2024 results are based on the exam scores obtained by the students. The marks are calculated using the JEE Advanced evaluating scheme. The marks are calculated as follows:

Subject-wise Marks: The total marks obtained in the subject is the sum of the marks obtained in paper 1 and paper 2 of the JEE Advanced examination. The marks are calculated separately for each subject.

Aggregate marks: A candidate’s aggregate marks in JEE (Advanced) 2024 will be the sum of their Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics scores. The aggregate scores from papers 1 and 2 will be combined to determine the candidates’ marks out of 360.

JEE Advanced 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

There will be a tie when two or more candidates score equal aggregate marks. To overcome this situation the JEE has described the tie-breaking policy which is as follows:

  1. The students scoring more positive marks are awarded a higher rank.
  2. If there is a tie, students scoring more mathematics marks will rank higher.
  3. If the tie does not break the marks for physics and chemistry are considered.
  4. Even then, if the tie exists equal marks and rank will be awarded to the two candidates.
