NEET 2025: Exam Pattern

NEET exam comprises two sections for each subject: Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany. Section A consists of 35 questions while section B consists of 15 questions. NEET 2025: Marking Scheme

The detailed marking scheme of the NEET 2025 exam is as follows:

  1. Each question carries 4 marks.
  2. For each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded.
  3. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.
  4. For unanswered questions, no marks are given.
  5. If you attempt more than one option and it is challenged in the answer key the candidate will be awarded marks if the challenge is correct.
  6. If the options and questions are found to be inappropriate then the marks are provided to all candidates.

NEET 2025 Exam Pattern: Question Paper Language

The NEET 2025 exam paper will come in 13 languages. Students can choose the language option while filling out the application form.  Here are some important points that must be considered while choosing the exam paper language.

  1. The candidate can choose the language exam from: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, or Punjabi.
  2. Once the language is selected it cannot be changed later.
  3. The question paper will be bilingual and will come in the selected language and English.
  4. If you select English as your preferred language your exam paper will come in English only.
