Re-Initiating NEET Preparation

Restarting NEET preparation is a big decision for a NEET aspirant. Prajkta Bhagat is one of the courageous students at IIB who took the challenge to reappear for the NEET exam and shone brightly in the exam. She initiated her NEET preparation right after NEET 2023 result where she scored 161 out of 720. Her siblings were also ex-students of IIB and had completed their MBBS from reputed medical colleges after scoring good marks in the NEET exam. 

Focus on Weak Subject

Prajakta’s weakest subject was chemistry. She focused on all three parts of the subject (organic, inorganic and physical) and scored full marks 180/180 in NEET 2024 in chemistry. She gives her score credit to team IIB where teachers cleared all her doubts about the topics and helped her to understand the intricacies of the subject. She prepared short notes, practised numericals, read NCERT books several times and attempted each practice session and mock test conducted at IIB to score well in the examination.

Prajakta’s Strategy for NEET Preparation

Right from the first day of NEET preparation, Prajakta used the time management technique. She divided time equally between all subjects and gave herself small goals to achieve daily. Sometimes she found the tasks challenging but with the motivation and support of the IIB faculty, she assures to accomplish her goal before dusk. She incorporated short breaks during her preparation to refresh herself. Most of the time she chatted with her parents who were the supporting pillars during preparation time. Prajakta thanked IIB’s expert faculty for the comprehensive study material which made her preparation easy.

For Biology she used notes provided by the institute that helped her to succeed in the exam. Prajakta uses a flexible timetable so that she is not forced to do the same thing again and again. 

What Message She Wants to Deliver NEET Aspirants

Regular practice, time management, and dedication can lead you to success. If you want to succeed in the NEET exam, study all subjects thoroughly with equal focus on the numerical and theory parts of physics and chemistry. Focus on what you learn in class can lead to 50-60% preparation of the chapter. Make short notes to revise later on. Practice sample papers and previous year exam papers.  Do not stick to a rigid timetable, leave gaps and change the topics. 

Prajakta sets an example of coming back after a failure.
